Tacos Part 7

Tacos al Pastor

Subway Mexican Style

This place is called Las Tortas Locas. It's a place where their specialty are Mexican subways, yet they sell tacos too. They have a bar of salsas and most of them are good the most important thing is that they have as much limes as you want. The tortilla is the "Milagro" The interesting thing here is that the beef of the Taco al Pastor comes from the real vertical thing where they are supposed to be cooked. Here if you are interested in see how is it,  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_pastor
According to my scale I gave it a 3 because the tortilla was cold  even thought the beef was good.

Tacos en Mexico

A big double quesadilla in my hometown called "Vampiro." My hubby's favorite

"Tacos al pastor" The real deal. In my hubby's hometown. My favorite taqueria XD

Tacos Part 6

This Taco is from a food truck called Yumbii. The tacos are a fusion between Korean and Mexican. The tortilla is made of wheat flour the one that you can find at any grocery shopping. They have different flavors. I got the beef one that it was practically a Bulgogi taco with tons of lettuce. Because of the sweet flavor of Bulgogi, it makes a weird combination for those (like me) who are use to Mexican tacos. I give it a 2 according to Itzelli's scale. XD

Tacos part 5

If you want to try tacos, the closest flavor to the ones in Mexico. I´d recommend you to go at Rosa Mexicano. The tortillas are the best!!! even in Mexico they will be one of the good ones. The salsas are very very good. The only thing is that it´s a little bit pricey for tacos. When my D.H. and I go, I order the Queso Fundido and serve myself with tacos of cheese and salsa. It´s the closest taco that I´ve try here in Atlanta.
Queso Fundido. The little bowl with the green salsa is my favorite one.

Tacos dorados

Tacos de carnitas. My hubby´s favorites.

Tacos part 4

The worst salsas ever =S
OMG!!! This trying out to find an OK place to eat tacos is getting harder. Who knew that tacos were so difficult to prepare if it´s just tortilla and beef, right?? Anyway... My D.H. found this place on line where it´s supposed to be really good because the tortillas are handmade. It´s named El Rey del Taco. According to Itzelli's scale they were 4, but the salsas were the most horrible salsa that I have ever tried in my life. They will extra charge you if you pick the handmade tortillas. The service wasn´t so good and they will charge you gratuity.

Tacos part 3

One of the "best" tacos that I´ve tried here in Atlanta; you will find them at Taqueria Los Rayos. The tortilla is the Milagro one, so it´s the best Tortilla that you can find here. The are cheap and the taste is ok.  I gave them a 5 according to my scale.

Tacos part 2

Well, that night it wasn't the only place we visited. We went to this place called El Taco Veloz and the service was actually "veloz" or quick, the places is more like a fast food service but using an American approach, which for this food category it is uncommon.

The tortilla was a Banderita style or equivalent, which took out points to the taco, the service wasn't as nice as I would expect but not to subtract points as the taco was already bad.

The taco got a 1 out 5 in the Itzelli scale.
